1. How do I make a submission?  Use the submission form on the OTT.X Impact Awards website – https://ottximpactawards.org. Submission fee is $20 and is complimentary for OTT.X members.

  1. What are the eligibility requirements for content? The title or series must: 
    • Premier via OTT distribution technologies and be available exclusively via OTT for at least 3 weeks 
    • Be distributed in the US for at least three weeks  
    • Be available via OTT streaming for at least 3 weeks during 12-month review period ended September 30, 2020. 

  1. What are the award categories?  Awards will be made for the most impactful:
    • Full-length movie (50 minutes or longer) by a major studio/producer 
    • Full-length movie (50 minutes or longer) by an independent studio/producer 
    • Short (less than 50 minutes) by a major studio/producer 
    • Short (less than 50 minutes) by an independent studio/producer 
    • Series by a major studio/producer 
    • Series by an independent studio/producer 

  1. What does it mean for content to be impactful? Impact will be evaluated based on the content’s capacity to inspire positive action, reduce fear about and promote acceptance of all people 

  1. When are submission deadlines? Deadline for content submission is November 9, 2020.  

  1. When will nominations and winners be announced? Titles nominated for the Impact Awards will be announced publicly on November 16. Winners will be announced during the OTT.X@Pipeline event on December 10, 2020. 

  1. Who can attend the awards ceremony? The awards ceremony will be online and is open to all member organizations and to those registered for the OTTX@Pipeline Conference. Al-a-cart registration for the Awards Ceremony is $20 and is complimentary for OTT.X members and awards nominees. Registration is through the OTT.X website- http://ottx.org/.

  1. What do the submission fees go to? Submission fees pay for management and technology to support the program. 20% of proceeds will be donated to the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund; https://www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019/donate. We’ve made submissions extremely affordable due to the existing economic climate and our desire to make the program broadly available for the industry. 

  1. How will award acceptance be made?  Award winners may accept live during the on-line ceremony.  

  1. What are the parameters for trailer/montage videos for nominated titles and when are they due? Trailers to be played during the awards ceremony to announce nominees should be delivered before November 20, in MP4 format and be less than 30 seconds in duration. 

  1. Can platforms be awarded for content they license and make available on their platform? Yes. OTT retailers, channels, networks, and platform are eligible provided the content premiers and is exclusively licensed on that platform for at least 3 weeks.  

  1. Is content eligible if it has aired on television or been displayed in theatres? Yes – as long is at meets the criteria for the awards.  

  1. Does the creator/producer need to meet a minimum age requirement in order to be nominated? No. 

  1. How does the selection process work? Nominees and winders will be decided on by a vote of the OTT.X Impact Awards selection committee. 

  1. Does content that premiered on YouTube, TikTok, Vimeo or other open, user submitted distribution platforms qualify for submission? Yes, provided it meets the eligibility requirements.  

  1. Does content that premiered as a live-stream qualify for nomination? Yes, provided it meets the eligibility requirements. 

  1. If a title is not selected for an award, will feedback be provided about why? No. 

  1. Do you offer fee waivers? No, other than other than those for OTT.X members whose submission is complimentary
